Meesho Shipping Charges Explained: Zones and Weight Slabs

Shipping is one of the biggest deductions on a Meesho order, and it’s the one sellers understand least. Two things decide the charge: how much the parcel weighs and how far it travels.

Weight slabs

Meesho bills shipping in weight bands, not per gram. A parcel is measured by whichever is higher — its actual weight or its volumetric weight (length × breadth × height ÷ 5000, in cm). A light but bulky item can jump into a heavier slab, so packaging size matters as much as the product itself.

Zones

The second factor is distance, grouped into zones:

  • Local — same city, cheapest.
  • Zonal — same region/state cluster.
  • National — across the country, most expensive.

You don’t choose the zone; it depends on where the buyer is. But knowing the range helps you set a selling price that stays profitable even on the worst-case national delivery.
